Free will. waz that?

We had the CSE association on Saturday. it went fine considering shoan was the MC. what i didn’t like about it was that we were forced to come. how? well if we didn’t come in the afternoon for the association then they would cut our morning attendance. its not like i wouldn’t have attended anyway. and for those who would have bunked.. let em. its not like its a major function or anything. its just a valedictory. the fact is our Hod may be very nice and helpful but he tends to go by the book. Rules are made so that they can be bent and if necessary be broken. Its just like hour attendance system. y do we have one? So that we can cut and still stay in the limit.

 

Talking about forced attendance- it happens every morning. we have an assembly. taz right. all of us get together and pray and listen to bible reading so that we learn something that will help us in our life. BULLSHIT!!! half the crowd sleeps and the other half spends the time chatting or completing their work. nobody really wants to come for this. but we have an attendance for this. and if we don’t maintain that attendance above 90% we are fucked. People can listen to this morning crap all they want but it really wont affect them.

I say do away with morning counseling and give us that extra ½ hour of sleep so that we stay awake at least in class.

 

 

 

Silver lining

Well i can crip all i want but i do have highlights in this otherwise
dull college life. yeah the friends i have are amazing. okay i agree
everybody has his set amazing friends. heres a lil round up (names
have been changed for not-so-obvious reasons)

Kel Moshy – he has been with me from my 11th standard onwards. we
stayed in the same hostel. so we know how we work and think. If this
guy wasnt there with me for the first year of college i think i would
have flipped. Reliable and efficient. but he slowest creature i have
seen on planet earth. according to him time will wait for him.

Sunnen Pyriac – the first word that comes to my mind when i think of
him is movies. he is a big movie buff. i mean i cant even ask him
whether a movie is good or not. y? well because along with the
information i requested i get lots of additional info like director,
co actor, actor wife, what color underwear the hero wears, number of
awards .. u get the picture…. well but otherwise hes a real cool
guy. time goes real quick with him around.

Mhomas Tathew – the musician and nutcase in one package. apart from
playing guitar and singing he is also really good at cracking Readers
Digest Jokes. u know the ones u can laugh at only when you read them
and dont have them narrated. well but we have good times together.

My roomies are also there : Gohit Reorge, Voewin J, Jhoan Sosesh.
these guys are all different and unique in their own way. Together we
form a very weird herd.

I cant forget to mention this person. lets call him TUX (after the
linux mascot). well he introdced me to blogging.

hes a Nerd and proud of it. he loves to do programming and have nerdy chats (with me .. i
like em too). and yeah his girl friend is his Comp. But hes real
friendly and helpful.there are so many ppl here , but i cant mention them all. all in all
this malu society is a close knit one.

Starters

well lets start about me. I’m just this average guy with a few quirks. u c I don’t believe in god. Ok so what’s the big deal you may be wondering? Yeah , my luck I end up in a Christian institution. Actually its not about luck. I should have studied when I had the chance. Anyway cutting the story short I didn’t study and so I ended up in this college which goes by the name KIT. Luckily though I got my field of choice – computer science. Now everyday seems to get worse and worse. Hey I’m not pessimistic. The friends I have here are really good. But the management is what sticks. They implement the shittiest rules and expect us to follow them. [ for eg: u cant wear short in the mess hall - sounds silly right?]. Anyway. That example is just for starters. I will give more examples later.

actually I would have no problem if it was just another Christian institution. But here every things on a Christian basis. I haven’t seen a program where movie songs or non Christians songs can be aired. The reason this college is so religious is that the owners are bigtime evangelists (when I say bigtime mean BIGtime). So their aim is to create a bunch of responsible Christian god fearing future citizens.. Sounds good doesn’t it? Well not really. They basically eliminate every aspect of a adolescents college life (except studies).

So what makes me so pissed about his place? its the whole combination of things.
they have got one of the Best infrastructures i have seen. i have some really good friends here. but the management sucks bigtime (im gonna call the mangement as MFM for short from now on [as in M* F* Management]). they somehow manage to restrict you in every way.
