well i have been busy recently. seeing the desktop search of google work on windows i was looking for one on linux. i found one- beagle. spent 2 days trying to download and install it. [ it was a dependency hell]. to finally find out it doesnt work… then i got onto a desktop design frenzy and i spruced up my KDE desktop. following are a few shots.

Bored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boredom …. That’s the state I’m in. I mean I am jobless. No movies to watch , nothing to think about, nothing to browse, listening to music seems boring too. I have nothing to do. I have exam in a week or so. But I cant study today. I was actually walking around the hostel returning stuff I took from others. That’s something I rarely do. MAyber its not depression but situations like this that drive people to suicide. relax me not suicidal. 
Loser awards
i decided to start giving away awards to the biggest loser of the week
.. or watever time interval i see fit. [ i may be too lazy to type ]. anyway this weeks award goes to selva samuel. well lets call this one the floppy hunt. being very late in his coding of java assignment program.. he decides to copy gobals program into a floppy. comes back in triumph. ” I got the program ” and puts it into rohits non existent floppy drive. and that was the end of the assignment.
i haven’t thought of a name for this award . so suggestions are welcome. how abt Losie the PoohHead (as in winnie the pooh)
Violent mind
A few days ago our registrar came on stage and spoke. this fellow definitely has some problem .. sarcasm and arrogance seem to be in his every word. oh yeah, and i got to shake his hand.
as usual my mind went on overtime and produced a nice set of images. my favorite being the slow settling of a sniper rifles scope followed by the ejection of the cartridge. and of course the neat ‘smack’ of an impact. leaving nothing much to look at. cant help it, i just like “day of the jackal” too much. may be i should become an assassin. cause i already have a hit list. im not a nut case; just a frustrated student.
power play
ever wondered which department in your college is the most influential and powerful? well there is no doubt about it here. this department im referring to is not even related to academics. the department of DOVE to me is this ultimate waste of salary. they have around 10 staff to just teach u value education. and guess what u can even get an arrear in this subject. i mean its supposed to be like SUPW or sumthin.
no but these guys here have a hell of a budget. and they manged to do sum thing that no other department has done. they actually managed to advance the Sem exam by 10-15 days or so.. cause sum F***ing power ministry is gonna be held here. and dont ask me what it is all about , cause i have no clue. there goes my perfect sem. first time i felt i was learning some thing useful in the comp field and then these guys advance the exam , screwing up the schedule. tightning our exam schedule and leading to the loss of lab classes.
busy bee
hmm.. long time since i wrote on my blog. well first off all there has been a heavy crackdown on all illegal ip usages. since i forgot to register my ip i was left without net for a few days. we had the senior farewell. it was quite messy & unorganized but on the whole it went good.
I’m now in the last few working days of this sem. very hectic. assignment and stuff like that. todays assignment is fun . we got to submit it like a project report. what for? abstract, conclusion , index for assignment? just waste of time.
oh yeah before i forget ti have to mention this interesting assignment written by Sunnen Pyriac. he mixed but his word ferrule with female – can give sum pretty weird results.
