Eureka

I just discovered that i can blog using the net connection in my office. Now that’s good news indeed. :)

One question remains: What do I blog about?

Elevators – my social nightmares

Yup, I am refering to those square metal boxes that help us zip up and down building. And No, I am not claustrophobic or scared of Heights.
But I find it to be the worst place to be in on a regular office day. If you enter as a group – well and good. But if you enter alone into a elevator already occupied the story is different. The thing about elevators is that there is nothing much to see. You can’t keep looking at the ceiling – people will think your nuts. You can’t look at other people – cause they will think you are rude and staring. You CAN keep looking at your shoes – but they just don’t get any more interesting day by day.

How to get Gmail App working on the Motorola A780

For this to work you need to have a GPRS connection to connect to the net. Note: WAP access will not do. You have to have full internet access on your A780.

First of all install the GMail App on your Phone.

  • Go to gmail.com on your Phones browser
  • Click the link ‘Get faster GMail
  • Download and Install

Now you might get and Error: ‘No Certificate found’ or something like that when you try to use the GMail App. Here is the remedy:

  • Connect to the internet on some PC and go to verisign.com/support/roots.html
  • Fill up the form and download the ZIP file
  • Extract its contents and find PCA3ss_v4.509 file
  • Rename it to PCA3ss_v4.cer
  • Drop it into your Phone memory via USB or bluetooth.
  • Open Opera Broswer and goto Menu Setup>SSL Certificates
  • Click insert and choose PCA3ss_v4.cer ( go to whichever folder you dropped the file in)
  • and Voila !!

Now enjoy GMail on your A780. I’m enjoying it.

Zyb.com

Have you ever lost your mobile and struggled to recollect all the
contacts? Zyb.com has the solution. It lets you upload all your
contacts via the net. And you can sync your Phone whenever required.
All you need is GPRS on your Phone and it should support OTA SyncML.
Neat, huh?

Chennai News Flash

Good News:
It seems there is a KFC in Chennai. Have to find it though….

Bad News:
Finding an Apartment is really hard.

The journey goes on & on &on

As I’m bored of this journey I thought its only fair if I bore you all too.

The journey is pretty much uneventful except for the 5 hours and
counting delay. What really bothers me is this elderly couple near me.
The husband is very inactive and at one point i thought he passed
away. The wife is the more active one though her primary activity is
burping. She even has a burp like a tiger that would make an actually
tiger tuck its tail between its legs and run home to Mommy.
As i think about it i’m sure its not the burping that makes me so
hostile cause i love burping. Them being old people could be part of
the reason. The major reason for my hostility is that i don’t want to
end up old and helpless but i know I will. Time is running out but I’m
not running after it.

(A big Thank you to Punns for putting this thought into my head… bitch)
