My great social ‘Experiment’ …

… was actually not much of an ‘Experiment’. It wasn’t one of those “I’m going to do this, to (hopefully) achieve this “. It was more like “I’m going to do this, let’s see what happens”.

So what exactly did this ‘experiment’ involve? Nothing much: I changed my Orkut profile status to “Committed” on the 2nd of August.

So these are the reaction I got.

  • On the 7th of August, Filie called noting my status.
  • Sooraj also noticed on the same day and he guessed what i was committed to. I think his exact words were ” wat are u like commited to work whole day?”.
  • On the 11th of August, Merin called. She sounded very surprised.
  • On the 14th of August, Seethalaksmi (from work) noticed. But she did seem a bit skeptical.
  • On the 30th of August, Jisha found out. I told her about the whole experiment thing almost a month later
  • On the 9th of September, Soniya asked about it.
  • On the 12th of September, Maria asked about it.
  • On the 24th of September, my bro called to find out.
  • And finally, on the 25th of September, Thomas brought it up during a chat.

So that’s that.

In reply to all your question in your head:

  • Yes, I’m pathetic.
  • No, I’m not crazy.
  • Yes, I was bored.
  • Yes, I’m still single. (And probably will remain so for a very long time after this post. Hey, some things are worth the risk :D )
  • Because I can.

Before you start hating me, let me tell you that one person was well aware of all this. So if you think of hating this lovable me, please direct some hate to Punnen too (because he didn’t discourage any of this).
