iPhone Unlocked. Available?
I was reading this article on Techdirt:Are 10% Of iPhones Sold To Unlockers and I must say that it must be true. Some time ago I have heard from a friend of mine that his colleagues were using iPhones in the office. Apparently they were unlocked and purchased from India. I wasn’t too convinced and dismissed that as hear-say. But then I saw the ad for an unlocked iPhone on an Indian Gadget Shopping Site. They claim that “This is the 8gb IPhone unlocked for any carrier that utilizes SIM cards, just like any other phone on this site. The Visual Voice Mail feature is carrier-specific, and will not work if connected to any service other than AT&T” and are selling it for Rs. 34,000.
Afterthought : This might be a some sort of scam. The only way to find out is the hard way.
